The hardest part is that the AI is not only "good enough", but it's also easy to use. There's a very low barrier to entry, whether it's "read this draft of my short story and create an image for my main character" all the way too "create a lifelike podcast that discusses my work".
In some ways it democratizes access to resources that I never would have had available, but there is 100% a cost to using those resources. I fully expect that I won't be the last Substack fiction writer to use Notebook LM; hopefully I can help one or two people make it through that experience without losing themselves :)
